Why BPSee Exists
Recording Matters
Section titled “Recording Matters”Home blood pressure monitoring has become an important part of long-term cardiovascular care.
For many people, measuring blood pressure at home only takes a minute. Keeping a complete record over months or years is often much more difficult.
The challenge is rarely measuring blood pressure.
The challenge is maintaining the habit of recording it.
Recording Shouldn’t Be a Burden
Section titled “Recording Shouldn’t Be a Burden”Many people begin with good intentions.
Some write their readings on paper.
Some type numbers into an app.
Others rely on connected devices to record measurements automatically.
Each approach has advantages, but none completely removes the burden of maintaining a reliable long-term record.
Over time, the recording process itself often becomes the reason people stop keeping records.
Technology Has Changed
Section titled “Technology Has Changed”Recent advances in AI have created new possibilities.
Instead of manually entering numbers or replacing an existing blood pressure monitor with a connected device, AI can recognize readings directly from the monitor display.
This makes recording significantly easier while allowing people to continue using the monitor they already know and trust. Learn more about how BPSee recognizes readings directly on your device.
However, new technology also brings new responsibilities.
If recognition depends on remote AI services, personal health information may need to be uploaded for processing. As AI becomes more capable, protecting privacy and personal health data becomes increasingly important.
A Different Perspective
Section titled “A Different Perspective”BPSee was created with a different perspective.
Technology should reduce the burden of recording (see our core capabilities) without asking people to change the blood pressure monitor they already trust.
Convenience should not come at the expense of privacy.
And blood pressure records should remain under the patient’s control.
Our Goal
Section titled “Our Goal”BPSee exists to make home blood pressure recording easier, more sustainable, and more respectful of personal health data.
The goal is not to replace blood pressure monitors.
The goal is not to replace healthcare professionals.
The goal is simply to help people build reliable blood pressure records that support better healthcare conversations over time.
